Glock 42 In Stock - I bought mine at the end of the first year it appeared and had no problems with it. I wear a suit most of the time and can carry mine in my uncle Mike's jacket pocket or in a Vedder tuckable IWB (accessory) without anyone noticing.
This gun has very little downside. My 9-12 year olds have been shooting this lately and have had no problem turning it on. My oldest runs a G26 and G23/G19 (I have a reverse barrel...thank goodness!) and he likes to run a G42 because of the ground clearance.

I don't like the trigger on this, so I get a 3.5 lbs link to reduce the length of pull and the hard stop. Maybe it's the size and weight of the gun, but it looks like the trigger seems to have a longer length and the stop is "strong" to fly.

This is my first Glock purchase and I have no regrets! My friend suggested it to me. He said to get either a 42 or a 43. I chose the 42 for its simplicity and ease of concealment. Hoping to eventually get a 43. I used a Taurus 738 for this gun. It has many problems and jams with it. There is no such problem with the Glock. Expect to put a lot of cycles through it in the range.
PLUS it's fun to shoot. I have Ruger LC9s, a pair of 'snappy' for my wrist and thumb (arthritis and uncorrected dislocated thumb), like a black G43...double stack no go for thumb(G26)...the best of all the worlds to me. Small, light, easy to shoot (correct!), very effective with "proper" ammo (I love the Lehigh Xtreme Defense)..reliable, typical Glock quality..excellent!
Newbie, I love to shoot too. Glock 19 is my first, bought in 2014, which I am learning to handle, clean, etc. Most of the use has been the last four weeks, since I signed up for a concealed carry license, and I wanted to skip the shooting part as well. It seems like this should be easy. But, as the class approached, I realized I didn't want to carry the big gun. I love the baby Glock! She is beautiful, but don't let the "beautiful" fool you! Gun packs walp! I have no visible distortion, but the shot is a little strange because it has a small gun to go into the fire! I'm sure you'll get used to it, but use a Glock 19 for test firing. LOL
